What started in 2016 as two friends with a Kolkata connect and too much beer is today a virtual group of 2000 advertising, marcom, and digital marketing pros from across India. United by social media we share campaigns, criticisms, observations, experiences, ideas, and anecdotes,
On the ground, we are a registered body that organizes events and discussions, publishes an ad magazine, is building an ad archive, and is now starting a training program for newbies and wannabes. As diehard advertising optimists, we have many more grand plans with no idea of who will foot the bill :-(
We welcome members. All you need is a passion for advertising and the urge to do the new. If you think advertising is ‘the best thing you can do with your pants on’, so much the better, Let’s club together as a friendly fraternity across cities and work out how we can tango. :-)

It is a club, after all.
We undertake practical short-term workshop-style courses with measurable outcomes. Newbies and aspirants learn the ropes instead of floundering at the job or interviews. Startup entrepreneurs discover strategic and creative principles to avoid wasting money on pretty pictures. Even seasoned agency and digital marketing teams can benefit from customized sessions with industry veterans for better pitches and projects.
We are currently building an e-archive of classic Indian campaigns and advertisements in English, Hindi and Bengali. We welcome contributions in creating an enduring record of our industry and its people. Oly's Kolkata Chapter celebrates Bengali advertising and creativity, apart from issues related to traditional and digital communication in Bangla. Major activities include frequent addas, Bengali training programs in advertising art and copywriting, and a quarterly advertising magazine. Whether you are Indian, Bangladeshi, or expatriate, you are welcome to participate and contribute.
